The AI notepad for back-to-back meetings
Most AI note-takers just record your call and send a summary after.
Granola is different. It’s an AI notepad. You jot down what matters during the meeting, and Granola transcribes everything in the background.
When the call ends, it combines your notes with the full transcript to create summaries, action items, and next steps, all from your point of view.
Then the powerful part: chat with your notes. Write follow-up emails, pull out decisions, or prep for your next call, in seconds.
Think of it as a super-smart notes app that actually understands your meetings.
Hey
Last week I was scrolling LinkedIn and stopped dead on a post.
Someone had listed all 26 slash commands inside Claude Code. I use Claude Code every single day. And I did not know half of these existed.
Before I get into the list, let me tell you something real quick.
Six months ago, I was bouncing between ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and whatever new model dropped that week.
The experience was always the same: paste context, get a decent reply, lose the thread after 10 messages, start over. Paste context again. Repeat. It felt like running on a treadmill. A lot of effort, not a lot of movement.
Then I switched to Claude and something shifted. It holds context the way my brain actually works. It does not hallucinate as wildly. The writing quality is different. The reasoning is sharper. I stopped switching tools and just stayed.
Now Claude Code is basically open on my screen all day. Writing. Building. Structuring. Automating. It is the first AI tool that genuinely made me more productive instead of just making me feel productive.
So when I saw those 26 commands, I knew I had to share every single one with you. Because if you are using Claude Code without these, you are using maybe 40% of what it can actually do.

AI Tool you use daily? |
Here they all are, broken down simply.
SESSION AND CONTEXT MANAGEMENT
1. /CLEAR Wipes your entire conversation history and resets context. Use this when you are switching between unrelated tasks and do not want old context messing up your new work. Clean slate every time.
2. /COMPACT [instructions] Compresses a long conversation while keeping what you tell it to keep. When the context window starts getting bloated, this trims it without losing the important parts. You are in control of what stays.
3. /RESUME [session] Reopens a previous conversation by ID or name. That deep problem-solving thread you had going two days ago? You do not have to rebuild it. Just resume it.
4. /BRANCH [name] Creates a new branch from your current conversation. Want to try a completely different approach without losing your original thread? Branch it like you would in Git. Safe to explore, nothing lost.
5. /REWIND Rolls back the conversation and any code changes to an earlier point. Took a wrong turn a few messages back? Rewind and go again. No big deal.
6. /RENAME [name] Gives your session a custom name. Skip the name and Claude generates one for you. Small thing, but when you are managing multiple sessions daily, this keeps your workspace sane.
7. /EXPORT [filename] Exports the full conversation as plain text. Great for documentation, sharing with teammates, or keeping records of complex problem-solving sessions you might want to revisit.
MODEL AND USAGE CONTROLS
8. /MODEL [model] Switches between Sonnet, Opus, and Haiku mid-session. Need faster output for a quick task? Switch to Haiku. Need deeper reasoning for something complex? Jump to Opus. All without leaving the session.
9. /COST Shows token usage for your current session. Useful when you want to track how much context you are burning through on bigger projects.
10. /USAGE Displays your plan limits and current rate-limit status. Know where you stand before you hit a wall in the middle of something important.
11. /EXTRA-USAGE Enables extra usage when you have hit your standard limits. When you are in the middle of something critical and absolutely cannot stop, this keeps the session going.
PROJECT SETUP AND MEMORY
12. /INIT Initializes your project with a claude guide file. This is one of the first things you should do with any new project. It gives Claude persistent, structured context about your codebase that carries across sessions.
13. /MEMORY Edits claude memory files and controls auto-memory settings. This is where Claude stores what it learns about your project. Managing this well is the difference between an assistant that keeps forgetting and one that actually understands your work.
14. /ADD-DIR [path] Adds a working directory for file access during the session. If you are working across multiple folders, this gives Claude visibility into all of them at once.
CODE REVIEW AND SECURITY
15. /DIFF Opens a diff viewer for uncommitted changes. See exactly what Claude changed, line by line, before you commit anything. No surprises.
16. /SECURITY-REVIEW Checks pending changes for security issues. Running this before committing should be a habit. It catches things you might miss during a fast iteration cycle.
17. /PLAN [description] Enters plan mode, optionally with a task description. Instead of jumping straight into code, Claude maps out the full approach first. Highly recommended for complex, multi-step tasks where direction matters more than speed.
PERMISSIONS, PLUGINS, AND CONFIGURATION
18. /PERMISSIONS Manages allow, ask, and deny rules for tool access. Want Claude to read files but not write them? Set it here. Full control over what the tool can and cannot touch.
19. /AGENTS Manages agent and sub-agent configurations. If you are running multi-agent workflows, this is your command center for all of it.
20. /SKILLS Lists all available skills, both built-in and custom. Skills are specialized capabilities you can add to Claude Code. This shows you everything currently available to use.
21. /PLUGIN Manages Claude Code plugins for extending functionality. Add capabilities that go beyond the default feature set.
22. /RELOAD-PLUGINS Reloads active plugins without restarting your session. Made changes to a plugin mid-session? Reload it live and keep going.
23. /MCP Manages MCP server connections and OAuth authentication. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how Claude Code connects to external tools and services. This command handles all those connections.
LOOK AND FEEL
24. /CONFIG Opens settings for theme, model, output style, and general preferences. Your one-stop shop for customizing how Claude Code behaves across everything.
25. /THEME Changes the color theme, including light, dark, and accessible options. If you work late, dark mode is right here. Need higher contrast? Accessible themes are built in.
26. /COLOR [color] Sets the prompt bar color for your current session. When you are running multiple sessions at once, color-coding them is actually a surprisingly effective way to stay organized and not mix things up.

You do not need to memorize all 26 today. The point is knowing they exist so you can reach for the right one when you need it.
Bookmark this email. Next time you are inside Claude Code, try one you have never used. Start with /PLAN before your next complex task. Try /COMPACT when a session gets long. Try /BRANCH when you want to explore without risk.
One new command per session. That is all it takes to start working at a completely different level.
Are these game-changing for you? Are you already using some of these or did a few surprise you? Hit reply and tell me which one you are going to try first. I read every reply.
